Mitch Walker

Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar | Songwriter | Founding Member

Mitch Walker is the voice and soul of The County Sons – raw, real, and unapologetically Southern at heart. Born in 1985 in Celle, Northern Germany, Mitch brings gritty vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and driving rhythm guitar to the band’s hard-hitting Southern Rock sound.

From a young age, Mitch was drawn to the spirit of American rock music. While others played soccer, he was jamming in dusty garages, piecing together amps, and spinning records by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash, Black Label Society, and Volbeat. Music became more than a hobby – it was his release, his identity.

Before forming The County Sons in 2024, Mitch played in several local rock and metal bands, worked as a guitar teacher, and even wrote songs for other artists. But it wasn’t until The County Sons came together that he finally found the sound he’d been chasing: a raw, riff-heavy blend of Southern Rock, outlaw attitude, and a little touch of metal.

Mitch’s lyrics are deeply personal – stories of freedom, regret, rebellion, and the open road.

“I write songs the way some people keep a journal – just louder”

On stage, he’s a commanding presence without the rockstar ego. Offstage, he’s a whiskey lover, motorcycle guy, and a sucker for late-night acoustic jams by the fire.

Mitch lives and breathes the music he plays – honest, loud, and full of soul.
