Cole "Snake" Duvall

Bass | Groove Machine | Outlaw with Soul

Cole “Snake” Duvall lays down the low end for The County Sons – cool, relentless, and always right on the mark. His bass playing is the solid foundation that anchors the band’s gritty sound. Whether it’s a rolling Southern groove or a thunderous rock riff, Snake brings the weight and the swagger.

Born in 1987 in Hildesheim, Germany, Cole was drawn early on to the heavier side of rock. Influenced by legends like Motörhead, Pantera, and ZZ Top, he made the bass his weapon of choice – not just for keeping time, but for driving the whole damn song. Before The County Sons, he played in several metal and blues bands, blending both worlds into a groove-heavy style all his own.

The nickname “Snake” wasn’t born in the rehearsal room, but during a late-night run-in with a real rattlesnake on a road trip through the U.S. It stuck – and it fits. Calm and collected offstage, Snake turns into a storm when the lights go up.

“Bass doesn’t need to shine – it needs to roll. If it hits you in the gut, it’s doing its job.”

Outside the band, Cole’s all about muscle cars, leather vests, backyard BBQs, and the deep growl of a V8 engine. He lives and breathes the outlaw spirit that defines Southern Rock – onstage and off.
